The only things we really needed today were produce, sour cream and yogurt...so while this trip may not look like much, I will explain.
Nancy's Plain Yogurt $2.00 (sale)
Tillamook Sour Cream $1.50 (sale)
OJ $1.25 (on a good sale)
Kettle Tias chips $1.67 - $1.00 coupon = $.67
organic Mint = $.99 (half price because it expires in five days...hello weekend mojitos!)
organic Basil = $1.99 (half price because it expires in five days...homemade pesto!)
Sweet onions = $1.22 (sale)
Green peppers = $.67 (3 for $1 great sale)
Cucumbers = $.67 (3 for $1 great sale)
Navel oranges = $.80 (sale)
Granny smith apples = $1.21
2 white corn = $.58 (daily deal, .29 each)
= $13.29
If these items weren't on sale, I figure I would have spent about double. While this is not outstanding, this is an example of how to save on non-perishables in order to buy a lot of delicious (and organic herbs or local dairy, when possible) perishables!
Cheers to (almost) Friday! :)
